E5 FEATURES

The E5 plays normal CD's and HDCD's.
A total upgrade on sound performance well above the strengths of Esound’s previous model, the E3 CD-player. The model number design has the intention to convey the level of sonic improvement over the previous model.
The E5 offers wonderful resolution of low level musical details with substantial extension of low frequency and high frequency clarity, the mid-range has a sense of natural and musical warmth coupled with a unique touching emotion that is hard to forget.
Unlike some tube CD-players, the E5 has all the smooth passages you can wish for while maintaining speed and resolution. Slow and syrupy feelings are not present. The E5 should be considered to be a wonderful blend with all the benefits we can expect from High-End Tube CD-players and transistor CD-players.
All these wonderful features are coupled with a unforgettable sound stage and a beautiful sense of depth and width.
The special hand-made toroidal transformer with no welding point outlets as well as the four Wima black box capacitors employed on the power supply board reveal the great emphasis on stable power. It also features an extra 3mm zinc plated steel board under the transformer against electromagnetic interference.
The E5 uses a Philips VAM transport mounted on a 5mm thick aluminium plate to ensure a greatly enhanced stability of the transport mechanism.
